We do not know exactly when Zachary Daniel Ford moved to Smith County, Tennessee. Zachary was the son of Lucy Lewis and Christopher Ford, Grandson of Mary Waller (1699-1781) and Zachary Lewis. Chances are it was not a direct move from Virginia. Henning-Mappin had Lucy Lewis and Christopher Ford moving to South Carolina.

We have a researcher working this line. Her name is Mary Grice and she is particularly interested in the Ford family.
