Lively (Waller) Parish came to Missouri about 1840 from Granville County,
NC. She was a
"Chesapeaker" Waller, the daughter of Zephaniah Waller Jr. and
Nancy Forsythe.
Her husband was David Parrish. Their older children were born in North
Carolina. Lively
Waller died in Cooper county, July 5, 1872.
Cooper County is in the center of the state. Two neighboring counties,
Saline and Pettis,
play some role in the development of the Parrish family. The children of
David Parrish and
Lively Waller were: Robert J., Frances, Ely Abeth, Nancy, Emily Doak, Sarah,
Thomas
Jefferson, and Margaret.

to KY and then to Cooper County, Missouri. He and his wife, Lucy F Harris
are listed on
the Cooper County Census of 1870, age 67 and 60. They are not listed on the
1880 Cooper
County, Missouri Census.
