Back in the early 1980s there was a marvelous genealogist by the name of Jerry R. Waller living in Washington, Daviess County, Indiana. I have his charts which I received from Historian Warren Shonert. Evidently Jerry had done considerable work for Shonert.
Does anyone know this Jerry R Waller, and if no longer living, what happened to his records? GDW-97
Daviess County Wallers came here by way of Bourbon County Kentucky.

Mary Waller Honey and husband, James, came to Daviess County in the fall of
1817, so it is supposed that Garner (Routt) Waller and her other children
came at the same time. (note from George, GDW97, I was told by Warren
Shonert the family left their father and husband John Waller because John
was a little too fond of that famous Kentucky whiskey. Shonert also said
that when John died he left his children only ten cents each.) They drove
through from Kentucky, and broke a road by hitching a big log to the oxen,
and having them go first, reaching the Honey Farm on the Bedford Road, five
miles Northeast of Washington, on Christmas Day, 1817.
