We have a Waller researcher interested in Cobb County. He is John Wright Bell, a descendant of Sarah Katherine Waller.

SARAH KATHERINE WALLER

Sarah Katherine Waller was born on February 9, 1836 and died in Roswell, Fulton County, Georgia, on June 5, 1908. She is buried in the Old Roswell Cemetery.

According to her grandson, James Isaac Wright, her husband was killed in the Civil War near Savannah. The couple was apparently Methodist, as that was the religion of their children: Mary Jane, Sarah, and James Henry "Poney" Waller.

Poney Waller formed the Oxbo Pants Factory on Oxbo Road in Roswell in the 1890's. Today remains of the factory can be seen on the stream in Waller Park.

MARY JANE WALLER

Mary Jane Waller was a daughter of Sarah Katherine Waller and her husband. She was born on July 10, 1861 and died on February 8, 1908 in Roswell, Milton County, Georgia.

On November 11, 1880, she married Robert Turner Wright, in Roswell. Their Cobb County marriage license is found on page 474, No. 944.

The couple is buried in the Roswell Historic Cemetery.
