Nathaniel Waller married Elizabeth Strawbridge September 21, 1741 (per Register of Stepney Parish, Somerset County "Greenhill", Maryland).
He became owner of Swamp Ridge plantation, a 211 acre tract close to Waller's Cypress Swamp, located after 1742 across the Somerset County line in Worcester County, Maryland. After 1767, the plantation was incorporated in Sussex County, Delaware.
Nathaniel was commissioned captain of a militia, and was in full command of same for several years (Index of Colonial Wars of Muster, March 15, 1748-1749, Box 1, Folder 22, Maryland Hall of Records, Annapolis, Maryland). On most public records, he was identified by the prefix "Captain". He died in Sussex County, Delaware between February 23 and May 5, 1786, the respective dates of execution and probate of his Will recorded in Sussex County, Delaware (Register of Wills Office, Will Book D. No. 4 Page 110).
